Virtual production

In our virtual production studio, we create virtual content with Unreal Engine to offer you the best in real-time 3D. Virtual production provides complete immersion in a created environment. This is achieved by projecting animated or static digital backgrounds all around you, onto a green screen.

This allows you to be in your chosen world and explore it at your leisure. Our physical and virtual cinema-quality cameras capture both immersive images and your interactions with the environment which are then recorded or broadcast live on your channels.

Our virtual production studio in Montreuil

Our virtual production studio is located near Paris in Montreuil within easy access of the capital.

We have a dedicated 50m² green screen set that is equipped and optimized for efficient and quality virtual production.

High performance workstations run real-time Unreal Engine universes as a network.

A control room for streaming and broadcasting performances live.

Lighting and tracking systems to capture and integrate digital characters and avatars (performance capture + camera tracking).

Having the SoWhen? creative studio located in the same building as the Virtual production studio means that simple and complex virtual worlds can be created on site.

Looking for a photorealistic or imaginary universe? Maybe an imaginary place or one that exists but is inaccessible? SoWhen? can help you conceptualize and produce these worlds.

We are also able to integrate any of your existing content if it proves compatible.

Aucunement ! La plus part de nos clients ont un objectif, des contraintes, quelques idées du type d’expérience qu’ils souhaitent sans plus de précisions.

Nous sommes justement là pour vous éclairer et vous faire avancer sur le bon chemin. Lors de notre première prise de contact vous pourrez exprimer votre besoin et réaliserons un 1er brainstorming : c’est l’ouverture du champs des possibles !

Totalement ! Nous pouvons vous accompagner dans ce projet dès sa conceptualisation jusqu’à sa diffusion. SoWhen? est composée de toutes les expertises en interne pour optimiser votre projet de concert virtuel live. Le studio de production virtuelle est également au cœur des ses locaux. Que cela soit la création de votre univers virtuel temps réel, de votre avatar, sa motion capture, la diffusion sur les supports de votre choix, nous pouvons prendre en charge l’ensemble du projet.

Notre équipe se fera une joie de créer votre avatar ! Suivant vos objectifs et vos envies nous pourrons vous proposer différentes pistes créatives (avatar fictif, réaliste…). Nous le modélisons en connaissant parfaitement les contraintes liées à son animation et ainsi optimisons sa conception pour vous faciliter la suite des choses. Ensuite nous pouvons également gérer son animation (motion capture, retranscription dans le monde virtuel, rendu…). 

Notre studio de virtual production vous permet de réaliser des interviews en étant immerger dans votre univers virtuel de différentes façons. Selon vos contraintes, objectifs, type d’expérience souhaitée, nous pourrons vous conseiller la solution la plus adapatée.

La solution dépendra du type d’expérience que vous souhaitez offrir à votre public et à quel public vous souhaitez l’offrir.

Quelles animations, quelles interactivités, comment souhaitez-vous vous adressez à lui ?… Le public visé est il un habitué des expériences virtuelles (gamer..) ? Que souhaitez-vous créer avec lui ? que doit-il retenir ? doit il pouvoir y aller lorsqu’il le souhaite ? avec quels moyens (casques VR ou desktop… ?).

Elle dépendra aussi de vos contraintes : temps et budget principalement.

Vous n’avez peut être pas les réponses à toutes les questions et nous sommes là pour vous guider, vous expliquer ce qu’il est possible de faire ou pas (selon vos contraintes).

Nous avons fait le choix de créer notre studio avec des fonds verts plutôt que des écrans LEDs pour plusieurs raisons :

  • un studio fond vert est plus abordable, ce qui permet la démocratisation de son utilisation.
  • Un fond vert permet de gérer plus aisément les ombres créées par les personnes (moins de post production)
  • Un fond vert est beaucoup plus écologique : il ne consomme aucune électricité, ne réchauffe pas le plateau (donc pas de climatisation supplémentaire nécessaire…)

Notre studio est équipé d’un fond vert et des meilleurs matériels et technologies actuels pour un rendu qualité cinéma !
