"Fer Chan Anima", an original artistic co-production with SoWhen?

An immersive and sensorial exhibition

CONCEPT PRESENTATION AT THE RENOWNED POLO RIDER CUP, AT THE CHANTILLY POLO CLUB.

Immersive digital art production

SoWhen? dedicates a part of its activities to the production and co-production of a wide variety of artistic works by providing its world renowned creativity and expertise in immersive digital techniques and technologies.

The rich field of creative expression that virtual worlds can offer attracts many artists. They see the possibilities of exploring all the techniques, materials and platforms that V.R. can offer.

From ink to pixels

We had the pleasure of meeting visual artist, Virginie Ferret-Courtel, aka Fer Chan, who wanted to express her Art in the digital world.

Fer Chan usually expresses herself through her physical and tangible materials of choice: ink on canvas.

This is how she works on her favorite subject matter, all things equestrian and more precisely the horse itself. These inked horses have led her from project to project, meeting and working with renowned names such as Jean Louis Dumas Hermès, the embroiderer François Lesage, Christian Lacroix and the upholsterer Philippe Coudray…

Birth of the immersive "Fer Chan Anima” Exhibition

Influenced by the digital arts, she now wishes to approach her art from a new angle: immersion, life, and especially movement. Out of this desire, we met and the “Fer Chan Anima” project, which we co-produced with Virginie and Richard Galano, was born.

Our collaboration involved creating an immersive exhibition that would appeal to the public’s senses and use different platforms and techniques to combine digital and physical elements. The phygital nature of this exhibition allows her to fully emphasize and express movement in her art and equine subjects. Fer Chan’s “living virtual horses” come to life before your eyes through various media (holograms, videos, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, etc…) allowing her art to be discovered from different angles.

Concept Presentation

We seized the opportunity of the renowned Polo Rider Cup at the Chantilly Polo Club, to present the prototype of our project to both horse and art enthusiasts.

It goes without saying that the concept was very well received and this positive initial feedback has encouraged us to pursue the project in this direction.

Work-in-progress Project to be continued!

All our thanks to the Chantilly Polo Club for welcoming us.
