Generative AI, a tool for creative expression
Freddy Koné, co-founder of SoWhen?, shares his insights and his company’s createch approach to Generative AI, which he sees as a tool in service of humanity.
The entire SoWhen? team is proud to announce our selection as an official partner of Unreal Engine, developed by EPIC GAMES.
You are likely familiar with EPIC GAMES, the creator of the renowned online game Fortnite and the real-time rendering engine, Unreal Engine, with which we work. Unreal Engine is an open-source tool freely available, developed by EPIC GAMES, and it is made accessible to all creators of 2D and 3D content, including cinema, video games, studios, and more. We have utilized the latest version of this real time engine to create interactive virtual worlds for Alstom and the Michelin film showcased during the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is the go-to tool in the realms of video gaming and digital image innovation markets, and we have been using it since 2014. This tool is continuously evolving, thanks to the Unreal Engine teams and the creator community who develop technological components to offer clients ever-increasing creative possibilities and production enhancements.
SoWhen?, a CreaTech company founded in 2010, has its own R&D laboratory and virtual production studio. We have internalized all the necessary expertise to guide our clients in innovating their communication. We offer end-to-end services, from creative concepts to the deployment of physical or virtual experiences, both long-term and event-based. We leverage market technologies and develop our own technological components to optimize production (saving time and money) and innovate by integrating them with Unreal Engine.
We create, for example, for our clients:
The productions we have completed in recent years caught the attention of Unreal Engine’s team, who appreciated the quality of our work, the innovations we introduced, and the impact of these experiences on our clients. This is why EPIC invited us to apply for their partnership program, which offers multiple benefits to the SoWhen? team and our clients. To secure this selection, we had to undergo technical tests and evaluations, present our latest productions in detail so that the Unreal Engine teams could assess not just the results but also our working methods. Our clients also rated our services on various aspects, including relationships, service quality, collaboration with their teams, and the overall delivery quality.
In France, only two entities have obtained this accreditation, with around a hundred worldwide.
This partnership is characterized by a close relationship with Unreal Engine’s development teams, weekly discussion, and the sharing of innovations. This proximity allows our clients’ projects to progress more rapidly and gain efficiency in an environment where everything moves quickly.
EPIC GAMES can highlight the innovative creations made by its partners on its media channels (if desired). This media exposure positions brands as leaders in digital innovation.
Finally, this accreditation is a mark of quality, as EPIC aims to maintain it continuously, primarily through renewed accreditation based on receiving maximum ratings (client feedback) on both human and technical criteria.
